Protected: Enrolment verification

Enrolment verification letters are available to all students and alumni. These are official documents that can verify your status as a student or alumni at McMaster. They only reflect information that is active in your student record, including: study period dates, full time or part time status, degree, program, level of study and program duration.

Before submitting a request:

The Office of the Registrar does NOT provide enrolment verification for:

Third parties, visit this page for additional information
Students with account holds and/or outstanding balance
Students in the following programs (please contact the appropriate office directly for your enrolment verification):

Step 2: Understand the available letter types and how to submit a request

You may need an enrolment verification letter for a variety of reasons, including: studying abroad, renewing your study permit, or applying for employment. It’s important to confirm which type of letter you need and any specific requirements set by the organization requesting it.

There are two ways to submit your request depending on the letter type listed on this page:

1. Mosaic self-service

Log into Mosaic > Student Centre
Select the ‘Enrollment/Financial letters’ option from the drop down menu
Complete the Enrollment/Financial letters Request Option
Select your preferred delivery option: download, email, or print
Submit your request

2. Parchment ordering services:Parchment credentials are securely delivered with  blue ribbon verification and are considered authenticated by the university.

Order through the “Undergraduate Verification” credential. The cost of this service is $3.00 USD
If you would like your letter mailed to a third party via Canada Post, please add the mailing address to the special instructions text box or explain your request in a document and upload it to your order in Parchment.

Please allow 10-15 business days  for processing of any custom verification letters.
