Fall 2020 McMaster resources
Although the majority of campus remains closed for the fall 2020 term for most programs, there are a variety of university resources available in virtual formats.
Archway
Are you an incoming first-year student? We know that you are deciding to come to McMaster at a time full of uncertainty. We want to make sure every first-year student feels connected and supported, no matter what the academic year looks like. Your Archway Community is here to help you! Athletics and Recreation
Virtual programs will be available soon, including:
- Live fitness and activities – Zoom fitness, yoga and dance classes to be offered by McMaster Pulse
- Intramurals and activities – Activity challenges and contests, fantasy leagues, intramural information nights and more
- Outdoor certifications – Leave no trace, Hike Ontario, etc. (by registration)
- Outdoor club – Continue outdoor experiences virtually
- Fitness@Home, and other programs like it, will be available on the Athletics & Recreation website and YouTube channel
Libraries
The Library Remote Support Hub offers access to many existing Library services that are now being delivered virtually, and provides access to a number of new resources that have been developed to support you during this time.

Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides academic accommodation assistance and related supports to students with disabilities at McMaster. Virtual events, programs and workshops are held throughout the year to continue to support students.
Student Success Centre
The Student Success Centre offers online learning support options, including tips for virtual classes, academic support, study strategies, writing advising and additional virtual programs and workshops to help you ease into the fall term.
Student Wellness Centre
While the Student Wellness Centre is not accepting walk-in appointments, appointments can still be made over the phone. Online wellness programs will also be available for the fall term.
The Student Wellness Centre continues to offer crisis support to those who need it.
University Technology Services
University Technology Services (UTS) offers a range of technology support and tools to help you transition to an online learning environment. Learn how to access Office 365, McMaster email, VPN and more.
UTS has also created a checklist to get tech ready in preparation of virtual learning.
