You will be permitted to register in your respective Faculty in Level 3. To check your Personal Registration Start Date go to MUGSI/MY ACADEMICS/SOLAR and check the 'Date Available' for 'UNDERGRAD REGISTRATION/COURSE SELECTION for the SEP 2007 SESSION'.
For more information about logging into MUGSI check out About MUGSI & SOLAR
You should check out the Getting Registered steps for information about registration using SOLAR.
Outgoing Undergraduate Exchange Students - Full Year
If you are studying on Exchange at another institution for the full year you will receive a registration package in the mail and are required to register on paper - SOLAR is not available to you for this academic session.
You need to complete and submit your Registration and Payment Agreement forms as soon as possible but no later than August 15th to ensure that you are fully registered at McMaster before you start your study period at another institution.
Outgoing Undergraduate Exchange Students - Partial Year
If you are studying on Exchange at another institution for only part of the academic session you will register for your McMaster courses online using SOLAR.
Your start date for registration using SOLAR will be based on your Faculty and the Level in which you will be studying during the upcoming academic session. To check your Personal Registration Date go to MUGSI/MYACADEMICS/SOLAR and check the 'Date Available' for 'UNDERGRAD REGISTRATION/COURSE SELECTION for the SEP 2007 SESSION'.
When you go into SOLAR you will see that your Faculty will have set you up with a Program to select for registration of either 'Outgoing Exchange - Partial Year' or your regular program of study. Which program will be available to you will be dependent on you own Faculty's process. You will select the program option available to you which will have been set up limiting you to the number of units you may register for during your McMaster portion of study in this academic session.
You should contact your Faculty/Program office and speak with an academic advisor in preparation for going on-line to register for your McMaster course selections should the courses your wish to take require pre-requisites that you will be obtaining while on Exchange. You will also need to work with your advisor about those course units that you will be taking while on Exchange. You will not register for those units through SOLAR, your academic advisor will have them added to your registration after you have completed your McMaster course selections.
After submitting your initial registration, should you wish to make any course changes, you will need to submit your request directly to your Faculty/Program Office.
You will need to complete and submit your Registration and Payment Agreement by the dates outlined in the Getting Registered steps to ensure that you are fully registered by the dates and deadlines outlined for all students.
